JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
As part of Lakewood Church’s Spanish Ministry, the Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting the mission of bringing hope to the Spanish-speaking community through practical, behind-the-scenes ministry support. This position ensures the smooth execution of daily operations by managing logistics, maintaining records, and providing exceptional administrative assistance to the Spanish Pastoral Care team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to the heart of ministry service.

This position reports to: Spanish Pastoral Care Pastor

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide administrative support for ministry classes and events
  • Maintain and update internal databases with class and event data in all required platforms and systems
  • Prepare and print the required materials and certificates for events and the respective attendees
  • Answer inquiries and provide information via email and phone
  • Coordinate weekly outreach calls to new members
  • Create, review, and submit purchase orders to all relevant departments as instructed
  • Assist in sending communications and updates to volunteer teams and class instructors
  • Support event setup and presentations, including coordinating with media and facilities teams
  • Collaborate with the Events Coordinator to resolve day-of-event logistics issues
  • Facilitate communication with hosts, teachers, and volunteers for in-person and online classes
  • Support the preparation of basic reports as directed
  • Assist with administrative planning for ministry trainings and meetings
  • Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for the Pastoral Care Pastor
  • Perform other related administrative tasks as assigned

MINISTERIAL DUTIES

You are responsible for communicating the Church’s beliefs and our mission to our congregants, to maintain a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures, and are required to belong to the Church as part of our faith community.

This will also include:

  • Regular attendance at Church services and classes,
  • Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
  • Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, values, and core belief
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated professionalism and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and collaborative work ethic

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Some college experience is preferred
  • Previous experience working in a ministry environment is a plus
