JOB DESCRIPTION

This Marketing Video Editor role demands a creative storyteller with a strong attention to detail who can edit compelling video content that aligns with our brand and drives impactful marketing campaigns. As a Marketing Video Editor, you will work on a variety of projects, from short-form social media clips to long-form content, crafting engaging videos that captivate and inspire our audience across multiple platforms.

This position reports to the Senior Digital Marketing Producer.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Video Editing: Edit both short- and long-form videos for JOM Ministries, Lakewood Music, and Lakewood Church, ensuring all content is high quality and aligned with brand guidelines
• Motion Graphics & Visual Effects: Use software such as Adobe After Effects to enhance videos with motion graphics, animations, and other visual effects
• Short-Form Content Creation: Develop daily, engaging short-form video content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, ensuring it resonates with our digital audience
• Content Enhancement: Add elements such as graphics, music, voiceovers, and sound effects to elevate video quality. Identify and suggest improvements to optimize the video production process
• Platform-Specific Editing: Adapt content for a diverse range of platforms, including social media and LED displays, while staying up to date with the latest trends in video marketing
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure videos meet the creative and technical specifications for campaigns
• Other related duties as assigned

MINISTERIAL DUTIES

You are responsible for communicating the Church’s beliefs and our mission to our congregants, to maintain a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures, and are required to belong to the Church as part of our faith community.

This will also include:

• Regular attendance at Church services and classes
• Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
• Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church

QUALIFICATIONS

• Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, mission, values, and core beliefs
• Proficiency in motion graphics and visual effects software like Adobe After Effects
• Sound editing and mixing experience using Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or similar software
• Experience with color correction and grading (DaVinci Resolve preferred)
• Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and best practices for file management
• Basic graphic design skills with software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knowledge of 3D animation and rendering software (Cinema 4D, Blender) is a plus but not required
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience in creating social media content for platforms like Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok is essential
• Experience formatting content for LED walls and displays is crucial

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Multimedia, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 2 years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical and creative abilities
