JOB DESCRIPTION
The Preschool Coordinator has a vital role overseeing all aspects of the Preschool ministry, ages 3-5 years old, ensuring a vibrant, engaging, and spiritually enriching experience. This position reports to the KidsLife Preschool Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Work alongside the Preschool Manager to develop and implement age-specific ministry programming that engages 3–5-year-old children at their developmental stage
- Serve as the Early Preschool Staff Leader for the Sunday Service
- Oversee and ensure the overall quality of content and activities for Sunday services
- Assist in planning and establishing a trusting and educational environment for parents and their children
- Assist in recruiting, organizing, building, and overseeing of the weekend volunteer teams
- Responsible for the implementation of and adherence to Lakewood Church’s child safety policies and procedures throughout the Preschool areas
- Ensure the proper level of preparedness of equipment and ministry areas for all required service times
- Collaborate with and follow the direction of the Preschool Manager to prepare the curriculum
- Assist with the development, organization, and execution of Preschool Events
- Maintain weekly communication with team members
- Perform general office duties and special projects associated with Preschool services
- Attend all KidsLife team meetings, staff meetings, and area trainings
- Maintain a high level of dependability and reliability to working the assigned work schedules
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
MINISTERIAL DUTIES

- Regular attendance at Church services and classes
- Be a happy giver and a generous member regarding tithes and offerings
- Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
- Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church

- Passionate about serving, leading, and ministering to children and their parents
- Experience in creating and executing age-appropriate ministry curriculum
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Demonstrated Christ-like Character
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and friendly disposition.
- Ability to multi-task and demonstrate effective time management skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to regularly lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to stand and be mobile for extended periods of time
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A college degree in a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of ministry experience in a leadership capacity
