Live Streaming and Web Video Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Live Streaming and Web Video Coordinator will be an integral part of the Web Content team’s digital functions, supporting Lakewood’s various live streaming events and maintaining a growing library of video-on-demand (VOD) content for Lakewood’s OTT Apps, Web Properties and Mobile Apps. This role will include supporting the day-to-day functions of our live services, coordinating both volunteer and paid workers to oversee live streams as necessary, and distributing content on all digital platforms while reflecting a Christ and customer-service-centered approach in the role.
This position reports directly to the Web Content Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
Responsible for supporting Lakewood’s live stream events and other related duties.
Live-Stream Scheduling
- Coordinate the service coverage schedule for volunteers and employees for live-streaming events that fall outside of available work hours
- Maintain web video content and collaborate to help build better processes on the websites
- Coordinate communications and collaboration with live-stream platform providers and other 3rd parties involved in the live-stream workflow
- Work with ministries, media, marketing, and business teams to identify events requiring live-stream support
Live-Streaming Platform (Sardius)
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Lakewood’s live-streaming platform
- Work with the IT team to ensure front-end functionality for the video players on the websites; offer suggested recommendations on potential improvements
- Document reported video player issues and troubleshoot for resolution prior to creating a ticket
Analytics
- Establish goals and matrix for live stream and VOD engagement
- Review analytics related to user engagement based on best practices
- Prepare monthly executive reports for the Sr. Web Strategist and Web Content Manager related to user engagement
Quality Assurance
- Responsible for quality assurance and testing of live-streaming features—including the creation and adherence to pre-service checklists leading to a live event
- Responsible for quality assurance of VOD libraries across Lakewood’s digital platforms
Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of live-streaming platforms and technologies (such as Sardius, Haivision, YouTube Live, Facebook Live or similar platforms)
- Experience in coordinating technical details of live-streaming streaming software, managing content libraries, and troubleshooting technical issues
- Strong organizational skills to maintain workflows, prioritize tasks, and oversee changes to video libraries on Lakewood’s websites and mobile apps
- Proficiency in using analytics tools to establish engagement goals, review user engagement metrics, and prepare executive reports related to digital content performance
- Experience in utilizing data-driven insights to improve live-stream and VOD performance
- Capability to conduct quality assurance testing for live-streaming features and VOD libraries, ensuring optimal performance and user experience
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing live-stream scheduling, managing content libraries, and coordinating with external service providers
- Ability to schedule and coordinate volunteers and employees for live-streaming events, ensuring seamless operations
- Ability to effectivley collaborate with various teams, including ministries, media, marketing, and IT
- Customer service-oriented approach while reflecting the values of Lakewood Church
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Communications, Digital Media, Information Technology, or a related field would be beneficial. However, practical experience and a proven track record in covering live-streaming events and maintaining digital content can be considered as a substitute for formal education.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in covering live-streaming events and digital content.
