Rate: $18-20 per hour; Dependent on experience
JOB DESCRIPTION
The KidsLife Nursery Coordinator coordinates all aspects of the Nursery ministry of Lakewood Church. This position reports to the KidsLife Early Childhood Associate Director and leads the Nursery ministry program, including both global and ground campuses, toward the vision set forth by the Senior Pastor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Shepherd, recruit, assist in the development and training of a team of volunteers to care and teach children
- Lead onboarding, development and engagement for volunteers
- Develop and implement age-specific ministry programming that engages the children at their developmental stage
- Service-Leading in all nursery areas for Lakewood Church Kidslife services
- Oversee the process to develop, write and / or edit Nursery curriculum and content
- Support parents in the spiritual development of their children
- Responsible for the implementation and adherence of Lakewood Church’s child safety policies and procedures throughout the Nursery areas
- Own the weekly implementation of a quality ministry experience for Nursery-aged children and their families
- Consistently train volunteers in best teaching and classroom management practices
- Identify, develop, train, and oversee volunteer leaders within the Nursery area
- Ensure the proper maintenance of the Nursery equipment and rooms
- Ensure the Nursery classrooms are properly equipped and service-ready
- Participate in the development and execution of KidsLife Events, Team Meetings and other Lakewood Church events
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Early Childhood Manager
Ministerial Duties/ Responsibilities

This will also include:
- Regular attendance at Church services and classes,
- Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
- Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, values and core beliefs
- Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Growing, committed follower of Christ
- Ability to organize, develop, and lead effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively to adults and children, both orally and in writing
- Pastoral heart, self–motivated, diplomatic and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Customer service oriented
Education
- Some college preferred
- 2 years of experience in leading nursery and preschool-aged children preferred
