JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This position involves providing leadership and oversight to all aspects of the KidsLife Early Childhood Ministry. As a key position of leadership and influence, this position will oversee the leadership of both staff and volunteer teams to provide spiritual development of young children and support to their families through regular, ongoing programming, services, and events. 

This position reports to the Senior Director of Children’s Ministries.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Kidslife Early Childhood Ministry - creating, managing, and delivering materials for  0-5 year-old aged children
  • Oversee Early Childhood special events (special weekends, Kindergarten graduation, etc.)
  • Oversee the development and execution of programs, new initiatives, curriculum, and resources
  • Responsible for ensuring there is a culture of volunteer recruitment & retention
  • Responsible for the management and continued professional development of the Early Childhood Staff
  • Responsible for the overall quality, safety, training, and staffing of all Early Childhood services and environments
  • Participate in the development and execution of all KidsLife Events, Meetings, etc.
  • In collaboration with KidsLife Administrative Assistants, ensure the Early Childhood budget is in order and well stewarded
  • Other related duties as assigned
     

MINISTERIAL DUTIES

This will also include:

  • Regular attendance at Church services and classes,
  • Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church when needed by the Church
  • Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly disposition

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
     

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in Ministry, Child Development, or related field is preferred
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • 3+ years of Early Childhood experience
