JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As an Events Coordinator at Lakewood Church, you will be responsible for executing, overseeing, and planning various events within the Events department. Your exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail will ensure the successful coordination and execution of various events. You will be crucial in creating meaningful and impactful experiences for our congregation and guests. Join us in spreading the message of hope found in Jesus through memorable events that enrich lives and foster a sense of community.

This position reports to the Assistant Director of Events.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

  • Meet and work with the assigned departments/ministries on all events and any related travel requests
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and equipment arrangements
  • Maintain accurate event records, databases, and documentation to ensure efficient organization and execution of events such as work orders, purchase orders, receipts, and any related correspondence
  • Assist in developing event schedules, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to the allocated resources and set-up, tear-down down and follow-up processes
  • Assist in ensuring all required contracts and guidelines are followed for each event
  • Provide customer service to all departments/ministries
  • Assist the Assistant Director, Director, or other Event Coordinators as needed
  • Handle sensitive, confidential information and assignments with tact, discretion, and diplomacy
  • Other related duties as assigned

MINISTERIAL DUTIES

You are responsible for communicating the Church’s beliefs and our mission to our congregants, to maintain a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures, and are required to belong to the Church as part of our faith community.

This will also include:

  • Regular attendance at Church services and classes,
  • Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
  • Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time as needed by the Church

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, values, and core beliefs
  • Professional appearance and conduct, representing Lakewood Church in a positive manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly disposition, fostering collaborative relationships with team members and event participants
  • Ability to multitask and demonstrate effective time management skills to meet deadlines and handle various event-related tasks
  • Demonstrable initiative and customer service orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for organizing and managing event-related documentation
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs unassisted

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Some college is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning
