JOB DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Analytics Specialist supports the Marketing Department by analyzing performance across all marketing channels — including social media, email, web, and direct connections. This role enables the team to make data-informed decisions, improve campaign outcomes, and ensure wise stewardship of marketing resources. In this detail-oriented and fast-moving role, the Marketing Analytics Specialist will provide insights that increase engagement, generate qualified leads, and maximize return on investment.

This position reports to the Associate Marketing Director.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track, analyze, and interpret key marketing data, including conversions, engagement, website traffic, email performance, and campaign ROI
  • Build dashboards and reports that clearly communicate insights to stakeholders and leadership
  • Set up and manage tracking tools to ensure accurate data capture
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and challenges to improve future campaign performance
  • Provide monthly reports with actionable recommendations for optimization
  • Work with existing data sources and tools; this role does not manage data infrastructure or integrations

Collaboration & Support:

  • Collaborate with team leads across Social, Email, Web, and Direct Connections to support their analytics needs
  • Work closely with the Associate Marketing Director to present data in a way that informs marketing strategy
  • Stay up to date with digital analytics tools, trends, and privacy updates that impact marketing measurement
  • Assist with preparing performance presentations and summaries for executive leadership and board reporting

You are responsible for communicating the Church’s beliefs and our mission to our congregants, to maintain a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures, and are required to belong to the Church as part of our faith community.

This will also include:

  • Regular attendance at Church services and classes
  • Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church
  • Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, values, and core beliefs
  • Demonstrate a Christ-like character
  • Understanding of digital marketing channels and KPIs (email, social, web, paid media)
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights for non-technical team members
  • Strong skills in data visualization, interpretation, and presenting insights in clear, actionable ways
  • High comfortability in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with tools like Google Analytics, Looker Studio
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop collaborative group initiatives to a specific objective

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data reporting, or in a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a ministry, nonprofit, or agency environment is a plus
